Discover typical landscapes in Oberursel t the foot of the Taunus Montains - enjoy the colourful forests, charming river valleys and the Stierstadter Heath.
Wanderparkplatz Hohemark: turn right into “Alfred-Lechler-Strasse” towards “hospital Hohemark” (sign „weißer Balken“ = white bar).
At the hospital turn left into “Kohlenweg”, move on until “Ravensteinhuette” (Ideal for a rest)
At Ravensteinhuette: turn half right and slightly uphill (sign „weißer Balken“ and „weißes Andreaskreuz“ - white bar and white St. Andrew´s cross).
Cross B455 and follow the signs mentioned above.
In front of the first houses in Oberhoechstadt turn left into “Steinbacher Grenzweg”.
On “Grenzweg” (later “Koenigsteiner Pfad“) keep on going straight ahead - (do not to follow the signs to the right) through the forest to the Stierstadter Heath.
Cross the entire area until you reach the Guesthouse “Heidekrug” at “Koenigsteiner Straße” (recommended for a break).
Cross “Koenigsteiner Strasse” at the “Signorino Kreuz” (opposite) cross and follow the sign “R2”. In the forest pass the spring „Roter Born“ and “Schutzhuette Uhlandsruhe” and move along the cemetary to “Altkoenigstraße”. Stay on the left until you get to “Alfred Lechler Straße”, turn right to the “Wanderparkplatz” (sign R2)
