Hotel Waldlust (subway stop U3) - to the Forsthausweg pass the animal shelter, underneath B 455 to the former Frankfurt forester's lodge - sequoias to the left - turn into Oberurseler Weg - after about 300m follow the path marked “Rotes Kreuz” (red cross) - we reach the Kaltes Wasser (cold water) - to the right you can see trout ponds - straight ahead on the hill an obelisk - walk on obelisk forest aisle - to the right is the trout manor - the signs now on the right to the forest passing Hoelschermuehle and Koenig-Wilhelm-Schneise - stay to the right until you reach the forest boundary and then to the left in eastern direction - when seeing the first houses in Oberstedten turn to the right and walk uphill on Ahornweg - at the highest point the way turns to the left into Huehnerbergweg and goes further to the Landwehrweg - nice overview of Oberstedten, Bad Homburg, Taunus and Wetterau - we cross the bridge at B 455 and follow the signs through the Mittelstedter Feld (mid town field) to the limetrees, the second lime tree was planted by Taunusklub 1878 Oberursel e.V. 1986 - on the bridge crossing A 661 we walk to town - along the Schulzentower - Liebfrauenstraße - Adenauerallee (Atlaszeder) you reach the railway station Oberursel - drive back to the starting point of the tour by train (U3).
