All operators of accomodations and restaurants and their many friendly co-workers, our volunteering city guides as well as the members of the Organization for Local History and Geography and the Taunusklub Oberursel.
Oberursel is not considered a classic target destination for tourists. Nevertheless visits and stopovers of guests in Oberursel potentiate great personal enrichment and the economic factor should not be understimated.
Therefore the purpose of tourism promotion lies in the development of target group orientated offers as well as the corresponding information.
The main target groups are considered to be
Business Travellers (mainly from Germany)
Daily Visitors & Weekend Excursionists (short time vacationers)
Residents of Oberursel
All activities and informations (including brochures) of the City Marketing Tourism should therefore be decicively geared to the needs and demands of at least one of these main target groups.
We currently focus on:
City Tours
Training of new city guides (featuring additional themes) and consistent marketing and placing of city tours.
Hiking
Combining information and optimizing the presentation of the fabulous hiking trails in Oberursel while addressing the target groups, involving the funding agencies.
Celts
Marketing of the cultural heritage by information and references associated with the touristic possibilities.
