There is always something to do or a reason to celebrate in Oberursel - for small kids as well as grown-ups.
Oberursel´s cultural center is city hall where various events take place, such as concerts, theater or comedy. Every year´s highlight is the “Theater in the Park” on the picturesque open air stage in “Park der Gewerkschaftsjugend”.
The celebrations and markets attract a lot of people to town: the annual Fountain Festival, the Rheingau Wine Festival or the Taunuskerb - many people from far away and nearby come to visit.
Soapbox Derbys have a special tradition: 100 years ago the first soapbox race took place in Oberursel. This is why the anniversary of the German and European Championship were carried out in Oberursel in September of 2004.
Oberursels numerous and seasonal markets are always popular.
